Vacancy for a Category Manager in Riga, Latvia

“SPAR Latvija” is newly established company on Latvian market operating in food retail sector and is a part of SPAR global network with 13,900 SPAR stores in over 48 countries.
 
We are growing and today SPAR has already 25 stores in Latvia.

If you are ready for a new challenge in the role of Category Manager, we are looking for a new colleague in our Commercial team.

If you have:

• Experience in FMCG field, preferably in Sourcing / Buying / Category Management.
• Degree in Business, Economics, Management, Marketing, Finance, or a related area.
• Strong analytical skills, structured and accurate in the way of working. 
• Focused and results oriented personality with high working capacity. 
• Excellent negotiation skills. 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work on multiple projects at once.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel.  
• Very good Latvian and English language skills.  
• Can-do attitude

We will entrust You: 

• Create category, pricing, promotional strategy for assigned categories
• Identify and monitor trends, competition, consumer needs and success drivers
• Measure category performance, define important KPIs and manage category growth and profitability targets
• Develop category business plans to meet sales and margin targets for category group
• Build and launch new products in close collaboration with the Supply Team
• Act as a link between the Marketing, Supply and Retail departments
